The tech conglomerate Samsung has finally launched the new Samsung Galaxy S10e as the youngest of the S- Series new members. As a way of celebrating the company’s 10 year anniversary of Galaxy smartphones. This newly released smartphone is definitely worth and best fitted for this anniversary.
Samsung Unveiled a total of four new devices, the Galaxy S10, Samsung Galaxy S10+, Samsung galaxy S10e and the first timer Samsung Galaxy S10 5G model for this remarkable event, just like Apple did with the iPhone X to mark its own legacy.
Although, the Galaxy S10 5G is not available yet it is Samsung edition of the next generation of mobile networking technology.
As expected, Samsung absolutely knocks it out of the park with the new display and the glass and aluminum builds. The Samsung Galaxy S10e is the smallest of the four new premium device.
The ‘e’ which stands for ‘essential’ in the Samsung Galaxy S10e means the device packs almost everything the S10 and S10 Plus have, ofcourse at a lower price than the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus.
Samsung S10e can easily to pointed to as the android version of iPhone XR which is the lowest of Apple’s legendary X-models.

Samsung has brought the Infinity-O design it promised which means there’s a hole-punch camera at the top where the selfie camera sits, featuring an edge-to-edge look that stretches top to bottom, with pixels spilling over the flat edges at the sides giving no room for big bezels on Samsung S10e smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy S10e officially makes the punch-hole displays a trend after the idea debuted on the Honor View 20. It also spots an impressive 83.3% screen-to-body ratio at the front, with its thin aluminum frame between smooth glass.
The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass v6, which helps to keep away any kind of scratch or minor collision. In addition, the smartphone is waterproof as well as dust-proof.
Finally, there is no more notch allocated to accommodate a front facing camera, hence, the small O-shaped cut-out for the front-facing Dual-Pixel 10-megapixel camera.
The device is sleek and slim with a dimension of 142.2 x 69.9 x 7.9 mm which shows how fitted the handset remains at hand.
The back design is cleaner than usual because there’s no fingerprint sensor, we can see only the triple lined camera with the flashlight needed for low lightening conditions. The Galaxy S10e misses the telephoto module on the back.
Likewise, unlike the more expensive S10 and S10+ model the S10e which spots the next-gen feature “Ultrasonic fingerprint reader”, has its fingerprint sensor located on the side of the power button at the upper part of the phone’s right side.
Headphone jack is still very much present on the Galaxy S10e coupled with the Type-C port and the speaker grille on the bottom edge, as well as the power/sleep button seated on its own at the right side of the device.
Samsung’s screens are known to be one of the best of their specs, the Galaxy S10e’s 5.8-inch 19:9 Dynamic AMOLED display panel is even way better. With the wide screen size, it has elegantly curved edges with pixels that spill over the sides, and HDR10+ support for superior contrast and color.
Featuring a full HD+ 2280 x 1080 resolution resulting to pixel density of 438ppi, ensuring highly detailed screen display. Although, the Galaxy S10e screen is smaller to its siblings, the taller aspect ratio is one of the prominent changes in the phone which is all thanks to the ‘punch hole’ display.
Hole punches are the latest trend when it comes to smartphone displays in our never-ending quest to eliminate bezels, but no, I do not think they’re a worse solution than the notch. They’re not 100% better, but they do come with a benefit that notches don’t.
With the dynamic AMOLED display panel Samsung also bump up the its brightness capacity all the way to 1200 nits. It’s brighter, more colorful and downright amazing to view in direct sunlight which promises a greater colour accuracy for better outdoor visibility for HDR viewing purpose.
At the front of the device seated a Gorilla Glass 6 (front screen),while, at the back located a Gorilla Glass 5, hence, a beautiful view.
The Samsung Galaxy S10e has two rear cameras, inheriting the S9’s dual-aperture tech, meaning its 77-degree field-of-view 12MP main camera can switch between f/1.5 for low-light shots and f/2.4 for brighter scenes and an extra lens which is a 16MP f/2.2 super-wide 123-degree FOV camera. This enables 0.5x wide-angle shots, the same as seen on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, as well as 2x optical zoom.
On the front, we have a single 10MP selfie camera with dual auto-focuses. Samsung has removed the iris as an optional way to unlock the phone.
On the video side, the software has been upgraded to record in HDR10+ and offer Digital Video Stabilization. Samsung says that this is meant to make all of your Ultra HD video as smooth as an action cam. Shots fired, GoPro Hero7 Black.
Under the hood, there has been a massive upgrade on the Galaxy S10e. Samsung promises a 29% boost to CPU performance and 37% boost to the GPU.
Samsung S10e is therefore is powered by two different processor depending on which part of the world you’re in. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 (7 nm) coupled with Octa-core (1×2.8 GHz Kryo 485 & 3×2.4 GHz Kryo 485 & 4×1.7 GHz Kryo 485) CPU and Adreno 640 GPU
The other chipset is Samsung’s own Exynos 9820 which is coupled with Octa-core (2×2.7 GHz Mongoose M4 & 2×2.3 GHz Cortex-A75 & 4×1.9 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and Mali-G76 GPU.
Samsung Galaxy S10e phone comes with 6GB or 8GB and 256 of storage for the 8GB RAM variant while the 6GB variant gets 128GB of internal storage which can still be increased with the support of Micro SD card.
Galaxy S10e also marks the debut of Samsung’s cleaner and more intuitive ‘One UI’. The new Galaxy S10 run the latest Android 9.0 OS with Samsung’s custom One UI skin on top. Although, we might be quite familiar with the Pie Android version but the interface is a game changer.
The Bixby virtual assistant is still in existence on the S10 with its own dedicated hardware button which now has a new feature called Bixby Routines. There are three modes in the Routines: Driving Mode, Work Mode, and Night mode; set up the apps you want to use in these modes and Bixby will ensure they are easily accessible and ready to go when these modes are triggered.
Samsung S10e is powered by 3100mAh battery. It comes with a fast charging tech. Likewise, because of the bigger screen, officially, Samsung is still claiming all-day battery life if not a bit more.
Samsung however, only supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 1.5 technology couple with the aforementioned 1.5 Wireless PowerShare feature which indicates that the wireless charging would be the same speed as wired.
There is no doubt that this is the best smartphone that Samsung has ever built and its really a trademark to the company’s years of work. The Samsung Galaxy S10e might even be the best Android smartphone or listed as one of the Best Android Phone in 2019.
Samsung S10 plus is the most expensive version with few upgrade compare to its lesser version, while the S10 is the immediate version not a cut down but a cheaper version with slight change compare to the S10+, and lastly, is the S10 6 which is the smallest and cheaper of the versions
